Joint research group “operando battery analysis”

The research group operando battery analysis is a joint initiative between Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and Humboldt-University Berlin. The group is headed by Philipp Adelhelm and is dedicated to studies of batteries in operation (in situ / operando).  To this end, the research group combines electrochemical measurements with methods such as gas analysis (DEMS), electrochemical dilatometry, pressure measurement, or X-ray diffraction. The activities also include the use of synchrotron radiation at BESSY-2, e.g. for XAS or tomography measurements. More information can be found here.
