In addition to Humboldt University Berlin and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, a number of external funding agencies support our research activities. We particularly acknowledge the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), the European Union, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC), and the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU).

In Berlin, we conduct research especially within the Berlin Battery Lab in collaboration with the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM), as well as with the Center for the Science of Materials Berlin (CSMB).

Further research activities are carried out in collaboration with industrial partners including companies in Berlin-Adlershof.
